In case you're having problems getting through to its official site, Trent Reznor's quadruple album Ghosts I-IV is also available via Amazon's MP3 store, where the DRM-free MP3s will set you back $5, just like Reznor intended. You still have to try and power through the traffic that's currently crippling the site to snag the liner notes, though. [Amazon MP3]

  • The question is: will this release contain any more clues to the "Year Zero" story?

  • Aren't the Amazon ones 256kbps compared to the 320s (or Lossless) you can get directly from the band?

It's not a huge difference, but... I can wait a couple days for the extra file quality, y'know?

I'm still amused by what I've heard are official uploads of the free chunk of the project on Waffles, What.cd, et al.

  • Well, I made it past the payment section and received the email to the download URL. But now I cant get the entire zip file to download. Lets hope that "one time only download" warning doesn't start until the entire file has been downloaded.
