I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that a new song from Baltimore’s Ponytail, who should have a picture of them next to the term “sound explosion” in the big Rock Critic Dictionary, appeared on Pitchfork’s Forkcast after my RSS reader took off for the weekend on Friday. But doesn’t it seem kinda cruel to premiere a song on the last day of February when the album it’s advancing doesn’t come out until mid-June, especially when that song is seven minutes of crazy-delicious awesomeness? This song sounds like the soundtrack to the craziest anime fight sequence ever. Awesome. Just awesome.
