Obviously American Idol is a crassly commercial enterprise, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise that the show's producers would try and insert product placement into any nook and cranny that can fit it. But really, Nigel Lythgoe and company—referring to an episode featuring current pop hits as ""Songs from iTunes' Current Top 100 Week"?
