Because trashy tell-all memoirs hadn’t been invented yet on the day the music died, the namesake of Buddy Holly’s “Peggy Sue” is just now getting around to publishing a book full of scandalous revelations about him. And his widow, Maria Elena Holly, has already sent a cease-and-desist order to Peggy Sue Gerron, whose book Whatever Happened To Peggy Sue? alleges, among other things, that Buddy planned to leave his wife for her.
