It’s the highest-charting single Swift has had on the big, all-genre chart, beating “Our Song” (which was a huge country No. 1 and made No. 16 on the Hot 100). Now that both tracks are fading, it looks like the label might try to push “Picture to Burn” at both country and Top 40 simultaneously.

One question I have, because I don’t follow all the charts as closely as you do — what up with Taylor Swift’s “Teardrops On My Guitar”? I’ve been in the car a lot recently, and I’ve heard that song on Top 40 raido at least as often as I’ve heard “Low”. I know it’s “old”, and that may be the problem here, but why isn’t it showing up on these charts?

I think the best strategy for her is to milk “Feedback” for all its worth and forget about “Rock With U”, since radio doesn’t seem to want to touch it. When “Feedback” is done, hopefully “Luv” will have peaked at Urban radio and will be ready to cross over to Pop.

I know I said last week that Janet’s career was done, but after seeing that if she promotes she gets results, I’m a bit more optimistic about “Discipline”‘s chances of at least selling better than “20 Y.O.”.

It’s achingly bad. It’s like rotten leftovers from the “Confessions” studio.

But I agree with you, Island needs to really push “Rock With U”, the video is much better than “Feedback” and should do well…
