Friday was the day of one of the SXSW parties thrown by the triple-A bible Harp, and it also marked the day that word got out that the magazine would be closing its doors. Details on the closing are sketchy, but it would appear that its Grohl-campaign-endorsing issue will be its last–which probably says something about music fans’ interest in politics that’s more depressing than your usual bout of weekend-morning news. Wow, that’s a bummer. Harp was a pretty easy to read magazine, and they reviewed many CDs that other mainstream mags ignored. I’ll miss them.
I honestly don’t remember ever seeing this magazine on a newsstand. Is it regional?
Remember kids: Harp /= Paste /= Tracks.
