... but sharing the completed masters for Chinese Democracy is another story. Rose responded to Dr Pepper's declaration that it would give a free soda to every American—save Buckethead and Slash—if his long-delayed album came out this year via a statement on the official Guns N' Roses site:
"We are surprised and very happy to have the support of Dr Pepper with our album Chinese Democracy, as for us, this came totally out of the blue. If there is any involvement with this promotion by our record company or others, we are unaware of such at this time. And as some of Buckethead's performances are on our album, I'll share my Dr Pepper with him."
Aww. No hard feelings! And hey, Axl: If you need a place to finish the album, I hear that Dr Pepper happens to have expert knowledge of constructing ad hoc studios where people are forced to finish albums in absurdly short periods of time. At the very least, maybe you can get some sort of seed money for a bonus track or two? Oh, wait, that would actually be a terrible idea, wouldn't it.

i hate to say it, but i'm finally interested in this album. as an appetite era fan of guns and roses, and a huge fan of the use your illusion albums, i was staunchly against the "new" guns n roses. but after all the delays, i dunno. suddenly i'm thinking if it's taken this long to be released, it must be great. that and i hate velvet pilots, errrr, yeah. well, i hate coke boy, but he ruins the whole thing for me.
cute, but not buying it. all anyone, CNN has, is a copy and paste of the "press release."
why on earth would Dr. pepper use a blogspot account?? yeah, whoever made it copied and pasted some T&C to make it look legal, but things like
"CONSEQUENCES
Violation of any of these agreements will result in the termination of your www.chinesedemocracywhen.blogspot.com account."
kind of don't work. How can I have an account for one particular blogspot account?
comment from page we are supposed to believe is actually endorsed by Dr. Pepper and not just a hoax:

in all honesty i think Dr. Pepper tastes like shit but it goes good with captin' (alcies know what i'm talkin' about) HOWEVER! if this is true and actually works i will have a new found love for Dr. Pepper
@drjimmy11: It looks fishy, but did anyone try to contact Chris Kooluris from Ketchum Media, the guy supposedly behind the press release?
@tigerpop: i've been in contact with him, yeah. he's legit.
@Maura Johnston: I really cannot express my appreciation enough for the bubble mentions. The band and their fans think I'm the only one that finds a way to squeak that into a conversation. Thank you:D
