AP071107040447.jpgOne of the hardest shows to get into at this year’s SXSW was an acoustic performance from M. Ward and Jim James held at the 300-person capacity St. David’s Church. Despite showing up an hour prior to Ward’s set, both LA Weekly editor Randall Roberts and I were left stranded outside, furiously and futilely texting every publicist in our phones. Thankfully, the Aquarium Drunkard has gotten his hands on the full set, including six tunes that the two collaborate on. And yes, James concludes with “Gideon,” which leads me to firmly conclude that it is in fact about the Gideon Bible. [Aquarium Drunkard]
