After much hemming, hawing, and "Hey, I have a solo career too"-ing, the five members of the Boston boy band New Kids on the Block are finally going to get back together in honor of the 20th anniversary of Hangin' Tough, an album that has at least two and a half pop songs that I'm coming around on after all these years. The group's going to make its big announcement on Today this Friday, which would explain the cryptic invitation that was sent to e-fans last night:
ATTENTION NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK FANS
THE TIME: 7AM EST / FRIDAY APRIL 4th, 2008
THE PLACE: THE TODAY SHOW COURTYARD
ROCKEFELLER PLAZA, 48TH/49TH STREET
NEW YORK CITY
THE EVENT: BE THERE IF YOU ARE READY...
And remember: They're being managed by the same guy who's now dealing with Axl Rose's business affairs, so perhaps this will just be step one in the announcement of a "Get In The Ring '08" tour featuring the two bands that threw chaos into the hallways of America's middle schools. Time to dust off my peach acid-washed denim shirt!

Axl Rose has someone handling his business affairs? Really? Is he that busy?
I'm kinda surprised Walburg is in on this; isn't he trying to be a Serious Actor?
Remember when they tried to pull a fast one and reappear as 'NKOTB'? As if guys.

I'm gonna guess "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" and "Cover Girl" are the wholes, and "I'll Be Loving You Forever" is the half?
Please don't tell me "Hangin' Tough," the song, is one of them. That shit's still douche-chill-inducing.
