The JoBromance Continues, And Episode 2 Makes Us A Bit Confuzzled

When last we left our heroes, they had just piled into a car with the fraternal (“infasize on the word:FRATERNAL”) triplets of Maple Street, and were careening towards a head-on collision with major drama. Episode two introduces one new character, two new words, and three questions about pizza.

How will Nick react? FIND OUT!!! Nick: Hey! Hands off her Joe! Joe: Not my fault Nick….she’ll wake up! Nick:Fine..(whispers)he gets all the girls…hmph… Kevin:Hey! I heard that. Nick: so what! Lorelai: Drama much… Hailey: Yup! Hey…guys could you drop me off here? I gotta go get my cousin Ada… Kevin:Sure..*stops the car* we’ll wait here… *AFTER A FEW MINUTES* Hailey: Hey Guys! Im back! With Ada! Ada: Hello!*sits in the very back* Nick:sup…*forced 2 sit at the very back* Hailey:Oh..now u see that Ada is pretty..haha Nick:??? Ada:Hailey..u know that my fav jonas bro is Joe…and now Nick is all confuzzled… Jonas Bros:CONFUZZLED??? *Alexis wakes up* Alexis, Lorelai, Hailey and Ada: It means confused and puzzled..*looks @ each other and everyone laughs and giggles* Nick:*whispers to Ada*I can help u get Joe, if u help me get Alexis… Ada: SURE! wait…arent u Alexis’ fav Jonas bro? Nick:*when he hears those words, he smiles*I am? Ada: like..duh..she thinks ur rowsome Nick:Whats rowsome? Ada: It means you rock and ur awesome…. Nick: Hey meet me @ the park tomorrow…we will make a plan… Ada:okay… *suddenly, they hear a scream from the distance* ???:AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin:Whos that? Lorelai:Who Knows? Joe: Lets check him out… Hailey, Alexis and Lorelai: I think he or she is in that store… Ada:*goes out of the car*come on guys *they all go out and go near the store* Joe: hey its a girl…and a boy… girl:You cant do this! nobody does! boy:but u r so selfish!!! Nick: I know who that is..she is………… Who is she? Why was she screamimg? Why does Nick know her? Do they like pizza? Do you like pizza? Does Aurora like pizza? HI AURORA! I’ve got to be honest here. I stopped trying to figure out the complicated web of interpersonal relations in this story line. It’s especially hard to decipher since I can never remember which Jonas brother is which, so the names have virtually no meaning to me. Anyway, I do know that words were exchanged about that hussy Alexis, and on whose shoulder exactly she should be napping.

I have to hand it to emogurl810, though; introducing the Ada character at this point was an inspired move. Considering the limited nature of her prose, her story would have gotten stale without a fresh element such as Ada the scheming cousin. If she ever learns to spell and punctuate, I think she could have a future in teen soap writing. The combo words are a bit much for your average viewer, but I think they probably speak to the 12-16 demographic. That being said, perhaps she should expand her vocabulary to words such as bumfuzzled, which is just as fun (if not more so) than “confuzzled,” and is actually a real word (my mom uses it often; she may be the only person in the world keeping that word in circulation). The erratic pizza questions at the very end skew toward Theater of the Absurd, and make me wonder if emogurl810 has been leisure reading Edward Albee plays (seems likely, right?).

Not much happening in the video portion of this episode. Same graphics, but sadly lacking hearts and fireworks. The Simple Plan song is a nice touch, giving a little hat tip to the Jonas Brothers’ harder core predecessors, and setting up the teen desperation tone of the story quite nicely. My hope for episode three is that emogurl810 steps up her game on the video. She’s got a nice handle on the flow of the story–already she’s set up a sneaky park scheming session between Nick and Ada, and introduced us to a potentially horrifying domestic abuse scenario–but this is YouTube. We didn’t come just for the good writing.
