George Foreman’s MP3-Ready Grill Brings Together Fat Beats, Lean Meats

While looking for a grill for backyard barbecuing, I came across the above permutation of the George Foreman Grill, which–squint hard!–has a teeny weeny iPod dock at its base. And a 10-watt speaker! “MP3 Player Not Included,” it says, but if the people on Foreman’s product-development team were smart, they’d bundle in a tiny digital-music player that has the sounds of sizzling meat and/or George’s motivational speeches preloaded. Just to keep the branding going, you know?

Is this for real? It sounds like an April Fool’s jok, or a recycled plot from Nickelodean’s “Drake and Josh” (the “Gary Coleman” grill).

This finally came out? It was still in development when I worked at the company that makes there 3 years ago.

If the George Foreman Grill people have any sense of humor/same pop culture obsession as I do, it’ll come preloaded with the Kinks’ “You Really Got Me”.

Well fingers have grease (and it shows up on Ipods) and grills have sizzling grease (and it shows up on Ipods) so really here, aside from stepping on your precious hipster juke, whats not to love?
