Alient Ant Farm will get its own version of the budget compilation 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection in May, which is rather odd. In case you’ve forgotten, the smooth criminals’ major-label debut, ANThology, came out in early 2001, which would seem to exclude them from 20th century mastery. So is Universal too cheap to create a new logo? Is the band engaging in irony? Did no one notice/care? This may be more absurd than when Creedence Clearwater Revisited put out one of these. As much of an embarrassment as this addition to Universal’s catalog, this album will still manage to outsell Kfed’s debut. Only by like, 50 copies or so.
The John the Baptist of 21st century mallrock Michael Jackson covers.
Do I lose my login credentials if I admit that I actually realy liked “Movies” (aka, the first song that no one remembers)?
Does the band even remember?
@Halfwit: I actually liked “Movies” and “Smooth Criminal” outside of the cute videos enough to check out that first album. I can even vaguely remember their “attitude” single. After that, everything’s rolled by.
@Halfwit: Only if I lose my login credentials for admitting that I saw them on the Sno-Core 2002 tour with a handful of shitty emo bands.
@All: This is why I love idolator, btw.
