The cover for the coming-too-soon album by the Pussycat Dolls spinoff quartet Girlicious—who, I found out while flipping around JetBlue last night, became a quartet at the last minute because the remaining finalists were just that hot—makes me wonder if Britney Spears' Spirographic cover just made every art director out there decide that female-fronted pop acts should have CRAZY STARBURST BACKGROUNDS lurking behind them, so as to suggest fun, sexy ear candy. Wake me when everyone gets bored with that screen-saver-inspired art and starts putting flying toasters on their CD sleeves.

I was in London two weeks ago and saw some awesomely awesome purple Doc Marten boots in a store. The crappy exchange rate made me not buy them. Now I'm glad I don't have them...
I think I was just saying the other day how I wished for the return of Doc Martens. This is not what I had in mind, however.

After hearing Robin Whatsherface on some morning show talk about how the PCD were supposed to meld "pop and glam and punk," I can only surmise that's what they had in mind here. "Look! Combat boots, but in pretty colors!! Rising suns graphics--OMG!"
@punkybunky: PCD are not nearly as punk as Avril Lavigne. Bitches need to recognize.
