You kids ever heard of the Infectious Grooves? They were this side project of the Suicidal Tendencies (you know, “Instutionalized!!!!”) that helped make the early nineties just a little more funky and a little more metal. Check out albums like Groove Family Cyco and The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move for a taste. Original bassist Robert Trujillo is busy having therapy sessions with Metallica, but singer Mike Muir, guitarist Dean Pleasants and three new members have joined together to rock your shit live! In Marseilles! Doing Suicidal Tendencies songs!
No American dates have been announced, but the band has three more dates in France left to complete their European tour. Two of them are with Fishbone (remind me to tell you about Fishbone sometime, kids)! Cyco Mike and the gang plans to film their upcoming show in Paris this Saturday for an eventual DVD release. A new album is coming too, so punk it up!
