Leona Lewis Expands World Conquest With Vegan Clothing Line

AP080325035980.jpgYou’d think she’d be busy with all her TV appearances and flying through Clive Davis’ window every night, but Leona Lewis has found the time to give her oh-so-influential name to a vegan clothing line. I admire how quickly she’s gone from having a No. 1 single written by Jesse McCartney to making sure people know where to find animal cruelty-free clothes. I guess she’s not forgettable if she’s not going away.

The singer always wears non-leather shoes and maintains a vegetarian lifestyle.
But now Lewis is rumoured to be launching her own clothing range full of ethically sourced products to give fellow vegans more of a choice when stocking their wardrobes.
A source tells British magazine Hello, “She’s always adored animals since she was a little girl and has been a vegetarian since the age of 12.
“The reason she doesn’t wear diamonds is because she doesn’t know how they have been sourced.
“It was for this reason that she is determined to set up her own ethical fashion range and sell the goods at high street prices.”

In case you’re saying “wait, she’s determined to make sure they cost more?!” Maura says “high street prices” means “Main Street prices” in Brit-speak. I wouldn’t have known, I’m just an American fool.

She has a good voice, but is so very bland — kind of like Mariah without the wacked out Hello Kitty fabulosity.

If this talented young lady is back to sweeping hair off the floor of the
Fantastic Sam’s in Piccadilly Square in a year’s time, I think I’d actually be sad for her (kind of).

Anybody that takes at least some airplay away from Ferg, B, or Xtina is ok in my book

Hey, maybe she can be a crunchy vegan version of Mariah? “No animal products, ever!” would be new tack for a diva to take. And better than than the blah thing she’s got going now.

@HONEYBFLY: Anybody that takes at least some airplay away from Ferg, B, or Xtina is ok in my book

Kind of a moot point, since none of them have singles out right now. What’s your next line of defense?

I don’t care who she is, if she can get me decent non-leather dress shoes, a decent non-leather dress belt, and a good selection of non-silk ties, I’m hers forever.

@The Illiterate: Fugly has the Nelly duet hitting airwaves and is about to unleash the SATC theme.

A moot point would have been if I’d said Madonna or Janet’s next singles. But I mean…who are they kidding?

I respect her a little more as a person, I really don’t care for her music though… if that was a little part of the main goal, than she failed.

  8. If she can make stylish non leather shoes, clothes that I can afford and not look like earth hippie- she will be my hero.

  9. Hey admin, very informative blog post! Pleasee continue this awesome work..
