Jimi Hendrix Estate Not Very Pleased About The Jimi Hendrix Sex Tape

JimThe Jimi Hendrix estate has responded to allegations that their cash cow is in a sex tape that’ll be released by Vivid very soon, and it sounds sort of non-denial denialy to me: “On behalf of both the Jimi Hendrix Foundation and Brave New World, I want to address the despicable news in regards to the Jimi Hendrix ’sex tape.’ Regardless of the tape’s authenticity, it is obvious that this is an intentional means to profit off of the exploitation of the greatest musician of our time. This by no means is a reflection of the contribution he’s given to us all through his talents and therefore we will aggressively pursue any and every legal course of action to protect the integrity of his legacy.” I don’t know about you, but the words “regardless of the tape’s authenticity” mean “it’s real, but we’d better not let it get out” to me! “this is an intentional means to profit off of the exploitation of the greatest musician of our time.”

And dammit only Alan Douglas is authorized to exploit the greatest musician of our time…

I guess they should throw in the tag line “The perfect gift for the Jimi Hendrix fan who has everything”.

@loudersoft: I think that’s implied by the psychedelic font / artwork on the packaging. Clearly this is meant for serious collectors and, um, completists…
