Perry Farrell will continue his mission to indoctrinate a whole new generation into the ways of satellite parties, unfortunate cardigans, and people making great pets this September, when Kidzapalooza breaks free from the shackles of Lollapalooza and becomes its own standalone event at the Hollywood Bowl. The show will feature both performances by Farrell and "special guests" and booths that offer breakdancing lessons and "rock and roll hairdos," whatever that means. Me, I'm just hoping that this means some bright-eyed entrepreneur out there will try and use Kidzapalooza to bring juice box-sized versions of smart drinks to market. Remember those? They always got so gritty when you got to the bottom! [Hollywood Bowl / NME]

I'll go if Cyclone is giving the breakdance lessons.
I'd rather let my yet-to-be born kids play GTA than be subjected to Perry Farrell.
Is NAMBLA somehow involved in sponsoring this catastrophe?
If past Kidzapaloozas are any indication, one of the "Special Guests" will be Patti Smith.
I think their long-run view is to make Kidzapalooza a travelling festival. (Thereby, yes, returning Kidzapalooza to its Lolla roots.)
The bands Hyams have put together for the Kidzapalooza stage have been pretty good. Whether or not this concert also includes Farrell singing the sounds-OK-until-you-actually-listen-to-the-lyrics "Pets" (as he has in past Kidzapalooza events) is yet unknown...

I can't speak for Farrell (whose performance of "Pets" at the Kidz stage last year was probably ill-advised), but Hyams has booked some solid lineups for the stage in the past, so it could be a decent show.
That's how devoted I am. I make the same (slightly-rewritten) comment twice. Please help me.
Hey, Jim James showed up last year, too.
