Peter Criss, Circa 1981: Full Of Misguided Hope

This has to be one of the most depressing YouTube videos in my admittedly limited memory: Peter Criss, a year removed from KISS stardom, discusses his solo career, bringing popcorn to childbirth classes, and the days when people wanted his autograph. The always tasteful Sue Simmons drops the classic interview question “Is your dad still alive?” midway through, after which Eric Singer replaces Criss for the remainder of the program. [YouTube]

Anniversary of The First KISS Concert
Peter from Brooklyn was, of course, Peter Criss. The veteran Criss was an immediate upgrade ... In its place was a moniker much simpler, with perhaps a touch of glam-stamped camp to it: KISS. The name was inspired by one of Criss' previous bands, Lips.
Peter Criss named Drum-Off Legend
Peter Criss has been named as a Drum Legend as part of the Guitar Center's annual Drum-Off. The original Kiss drummer joins the likes of John Bonham, Steve Smith and Nicko McBrain as a Drum-Off Drum Legend. You can see some footage of the ceremony below.

I’d hate him to hit 40 and not realize his dreams.

Also, Beth, seriously stop calling him. He and the boys just cant find the sound and you are totally not helping.

@Sniffle: this morning’s news stoked some serious ‘live at five’ nostalgia on my part.
