Courtney Love has denied recent reports that she’s scrapped work on her current album and is starting over via her MySpace blog, saying that “oit will be turned in by mid july at latest, okay?” and that she’s now working with her former Faith No More bandmate Roddy Bottum on new material. And she loves Linda Perry! And she’s just waiting for the recession to really hit because her material will work even better as the world plunges even further into doom, gloom, and high gas prices than it already is.

Her first entry ran Friday:

i have nothing but 100% positive things to say about Linda and that doesnt change under any circumstance it’s really not upt o me to figure out how to respond the any of this nonsense but i have NOT “scrapped” any record= ive been at the mercy of other peoples schedules until NOW so consider this the record that took three years if one counts when is tarted writing it, thats a fucking LONG time witha fucking LOAD of songs and they had ALL better be perfect, beyond perfect= all i can say is thank god im fucking funny inthe middle of a recession! in fact im fucking A so funny im going to deal with my murder fantasies, inspire and lead! and finish off some lyrics. ta ra, and yall have KNOWN since JULY who ive been playing with! theres nothing new here! Just shut the hell up til Monday nd let Nierob and Danny the weekend to be with thier families and deal with this bullshit Monday okay? im happy as larry to take it on the chin til then.

But like most bloggers who say “I’ll tell you later, just hold on!!!” she wasn’t ready to wait a full 72 hours to let what was eating at her stay inside. Late Saturday night, she waxed philosophical on what, exactly, the word “scrapping” means:

how do i define rerecording things? a little more the way i feel them? its certainly no diss on Linda ( or billy) there wouldnt BE lift off without either of them- itll take at most til July rto have a finsished and completed album and it has not taken ME three years , aa i just posted i have been absouloutly at the mercy of the schedules of others and waiting 8 months for 5 days is just not something i can live with, at this rate itll NEVER come out so no”:scrapping” is going on, simply a few retakes- especially since all those recordings were leaked to the net and i knew if we played some of those songs live that woudl happen- so rearrangemnt ona couple of things hav happened and on a couple oif things toally unmixed and unfisinihsed is what yoru hearing ( eg carcrach that IS a demo and not the song at all- that was a small idea thats now a huuuge idea you wouldnt recognise it) dont assume you knwo any songs on this album some may sound somewhat familiar or even have the same titlkes and arrangements a few , a few are just precious diamonds i wouldnt touch but theres TONS of NEW ones wich you have nt a clue about i knwo cos i havent finsihed lyrics and im days away

A few hours later, she posted a long entry on the identity fraud that she’s been dealing with (“current mood: bullied”). If you’d like to use your lunchtime for some detective work, she details exactly how you can find out about all of the real estate properties–houses, senior citizen communities, and the like–that have been bought in Kurt Cobain’s name. If it’s true (and given how there could have been a Weekend At Bernie’s 3: Let’s Buy Some Houses during the whole adjustable-rate frenzy, I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt) it’s very freaky, although I do appreciate how she gets all Yelp on the likes of Scotland Yard (“beyond polite ‘would you liek a car to meet us at the banks miss love?’meaning a car service! they take this shit dead serious.”) and the FTC (“very very rude I may add”). Not afraid to be servicey!
