That’s a good lineup for a tour(if the Lynch Mob has their first singer). And Cinderella can still bring it live(they did a couple of years ago). Warrant’s first album was pretty good, but the “Heaven” video forever put them in the cheese time capsule.

I’d go see that show, but not because of Warrant. George Lynch, yeah. THAT’S metal. Hot, shreddy, molten, liquid metal! I liked Cinderella, too, before Tom Keifer got a little too bluesey. They had some solid riffs on “Night Sounds.” I can’t imagine Keifer still being able to sing, though. To me, back in the 1980s, he sounded like he was just one or two throat-rasps away from being permanently mute.

Wasn’t it only yesterday that Jani was on some Heavy Metal retrospective — a beaten, battered man lost somewhere between Has-Beenville and Alchoholics City. I must admit, I grabbed DRFSR off the cassette shelf pretty quickly back in ’89 and it stayed in the boombox for awhile. But I gotta agree with Maura, as good as they were there was a lot better in that town back then including LA Guns and more, even George Lynch’s old band (at least musically).

i watched a few seconds of "down boys" and that stage looked really familiar. that's the wild horse in nashville, i believe. how was i not there?

what counts as hair metal? gnr never was metal, in my book. they're a rock band with big hair. the first few crue albums are classics, but "too fast for love" and "shout at the devil" aren't really hair metal albums.

if we're talking sunset strip, i'll take poison's "look what the cat dragged in," ratt's "out of the cellar" and la guns' debut. and autograph's "sign in please" is a good time capsule of the era.

Right now I’m pissed because I can’t find either of these cheap/cheesy TV ads for Warrant that ran endlessly on TV in LA, at least, back in 1990/91 or so. They both featured some 12-year-old dude in his room with Warrant posters everywhere and he was all dreaming about seeing them in concert — these were then intercut with the five bandmembers individually saying things to the camera like “Yeah, we’re coming to YOUR town!” and the like.

OK. Three things:

1. You copped to liking DRFSR more than Appetite. Publicly. That takes balls.

2. Jani most certainly does not sound "good" in this clip. It's a tie with the Tesla dude's Eric Cartman impersonation at the Station Fire thingie.

3. Why do the verses in "Down Boys" sound like that Cars song?

warrant was the first band i ever saw live. so much that i didn't understand about what they were singing about back then. WHAT HAPPENED TO INNOCENCE

i think cocked and loaded is better than DRFSR, but DRFSR is still probably top 10 for me.
