While the blogs were all abuzz about Frightened Rabbit, REO Speedwagon released a new single, “Find Your Own Way Home,” and after a solid first month it’s still hanging around the playlists of Adult Contemporary stations across America. (330 spins so far this month!) Could you blogging types get over Cut Copy for a minute or two and provide some REO Speedwagon coverage? They gave us “Take It On The Run,” which will last much longer in our collective consciousness than anything you might be writing up right now. [YouTube]

I dunno, dude, I just posted a 500 words in praise of Gwar and I’d bet the timeless artistry will out last REO Speedweenie and Cut Crappy combined.
@BawstonSean: I have little desire to listen to GWAR, but they are an excellent act to have do in-store signings.
I would pay to have all of my REO Speedwagon-related memories replaced with Cut Copy-related memories. And I don’t even like Cut Copy.
I was 10 when HIGH INFIDELITY was all the rage at NATIONAL RECORD MART. My parents wouldnt let me buy it because there was a girl in a bikini top on the cover and the word INFIDELITY was in the title…
Its a good thing that SMELL THE GLOVE was just an all back cover…
My how things have changed…
REO Speedwago got me laid in college. They will always have my respect.
All hail the mighty Gary Richrath!
Damn but I liked me some REO back in the day. The concert where they did You Get What You Play For in it’s entirely was a highlight of my stupid-kid life growing up in Minnesota.
