    I thought Richard Carpenter held their masters as he’s been reworking them constantly since Karen’s passing.

    As popular as it is to rip on UNI (and they usually deserve it,) this could prove to be a pretty devastating loss depending on what’s in there. My first thought was “Oh God! Not the Boris Karloff films!” Now, it looks like it was mostly music.

    Man, this makes me thing of the sadness I get whenever I peep Coltrane’s “Heavyweight Champion” or Ornette Coleman’s “Beauty Is a Rare Thing” box and read the note about the Atlantic warehouse fire destroying all the alternates except a handful. Really sad stuff for music fans.
