July 15: The original release date of the new album from Brooklyn bar-rock outfit the Hold Steady, Stay Positive, May 22: The album leaks, causing much message-board posturing/consternation. June 17: The new digital release date for Stay Positive. June 12: A blogger idly wonders why the label waited that long for the digital release, given that four weeks is an eternity in Internet-music time. [Pitchfork]

they didn't change anything; they announced that it would be out digitally in mid-June along with the in-store date.
I'm already nostalgiac for 3 weeks ago... Catching hell from other nerds for spreading the link via facebook... Shotgunning PGDs in my kitchen... pulling from my vaporizer (which has a Hold Steady sticker on it) while blasting "Constructive Summer"... Ah, to be young again. (And to not have massiveley complicated feelings about everything concerning this band and album.)
