Must be a bunch of Mariah fans running this site. To say that her ticket sales are “soft” when she is selling over 80 percent of her stadium shows 5 months before the actual show is pretty low. Oooooh and you did a search and found tickets available in Houston. Got some news for you: Houston holds over 45,000 seats. If ANY other artist sold as well as Madonna, you would be praising them endlessly. Why aren’t you bashing Bruce Springsteen. He’s playing some stadium dates next months and NONE of the shows are even close to selling out.

Gosh, such a flop. Madonna is going broke. 5 months before her stadium shows, most of them are over 80 percent sold. I bet you if the same sales stats were released for any other artist, your site would praise them to death.

i’m pretty sure that even if they aren’t selling out across the board, Live Nation is going to be just fine with this deal. even with the non-sellouts listed above, there is a LOT of money coming in.

@Big Gray.: True dat, but that girl's ego is so huge that LYV had to configure such a huge 360 deal to sign her to make it worth its while, thus the outrageous tix prices that are being passed on to the consumer. Remember Madge profits from the tix sales, too. LYV is not the only one to blame here.

Well, for me it’s the ecomony. I would have bought tickets to one of her T.O. shows but I was laid off a few months ago so I just can’t justify the expense. 1 ticket at $350 plus the services fees equals about 4 months of food in my case.

She’s just been touring quite a lot over the past few years. But of all the industry’s aging deities, she’s still a solid investment. Fit as a fiddle, isn’t she? And as she gets older, I think we’re gonna see her working even more, not less, regardless of Live Nation’s bottom line. Picasso thought that if he never stopped moving, he could never die. He did die of course, but he was 92. Not bad for a smoker. I’d estimate at 49, Madonna’s less than halfway thru her life, and she’s only been earning for half of that again. Live Nation will get their money. No worries.
