Proponents of Jesus-fueled hip-hop have been teased before with rap superstars crossing over to God's side. Example No. 1: DMX, who seems to have enough up his sleeve at the moment. This time, however, I really believe it's going to happen—Bushwick Bill, one of Houston's legendary Geto Boys, is hoping to release his new gospel rap masterpiece Testimony of Redemption by the end of the year. I haven't actually heard it, but I think it's fair to assume "masterpiece" status with tracks named "Praise of a Good Woman" and "Renewed Mind" (featuring the same Isaac Hayes sample from "Mind Playing Tricks On Me"!).
Apparently, Bushwick has a background in spirituality not adequately tapped by his Geto Boys days, including preparing for a life in ministry prior to hitting it big in the rap game. It's time to get Grapetree Records back on the scene! Let's get Bushwick Bill's message out to the masses! I mean, it's got to be better than that last Lil' Raskull disc.

Whoever wrote this must be 40+. Grapetree is gone forever, Lil Raskull is still touring the country, and Bushwick even features him on the disc. Get your teeth out the glass and check in to the nearest old folks home.
Shots out to Bill, do your thang man!
