Not only is Portishead planning on releasing an album to follow up this year's still-incredible Third, the band has already started working on it! Well, sort of—they've been writing songs that might not make the final cut for the album, but still, they're gunning to put out the album sometime before 10 years from now, which is a start. It almost makes up for the fact that their Third-supporting tour was so brief: "We are thinking a new album," Adrian Utley told the BBC. "That's partly why we're not touring enormously, because in 1998 we toured for a year and a bit and it just crashed us. None of us wanted to see each other for a while after that." Ah, growth.
