If there's one thing Buckcherry's learned from the success of "Crazy Bitch," it's that it there are no points for subtlety in rock today. Witness these lines from their new single "Too Drunk To Fuck": "I got so many women comin' after me/ I put some pussy on layaway." "Young and dumb and full of cum/ with a sugar load of candy cane." None of the lines are as funny as "you bawl like the baby in Eraserhead," and it's at best half as fast as the DKs' classic, but this irony-free enthusiasm for boozy incapacitation will do just fine on strip club stages and frat rooftops. Okay, so let's see, we got "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" and now "Too Drunk to Fuck." Please, -because my memory escapes me at the moment- somebody go ahead and list other inane quotes/"words of wisdom(?)"that are now doubling as song titles and/or singles.
lyrically the song wouldn't bother me so much if the music didn't sound so much like somebody's uncle's bad funky cover band playing at a really suburban neighborhood block party.
and maybe if the singer man sounded a little more manly.
but as it is it sounds like something a twelve-year old wrote and sang while his uncle's bad funky cover cover band performed.
actually, forget the uncle's cover band thing. now it just sounds like life is a highway.
Sounds kinda like Extreme. I sure hope this one gets a Grammy nomination too.
For what it's worth, I've already seen dancers "working" to this song out on Long Island. Not at a strip club, mind you, but I'm sure if this is already playing at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, it's soon to take off in your average nudie joint.
And please don't ask what I was doing at the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale.
Dead Kennedys do not approve this message
why is this dog shit popular?
@Hallux Valgus: Is that ever a bad thing?
@tigerpop: Oh, come on, I have to know!!
"a sugar load of candy cane"?
Song title by the Dead Kennedys and lyrics from Mississippi John Hurt. That's an impressive range of "influences".
@Maura Johnston: Oh, alright . . .
@Maura Johnston: wait, how do I embed again? dur.
I'm fired.

GAH! Thought I had it . . . that was supposed to be a Lita Ford video. Sorry for posting 30 times.
"Young and dumb and full of cum with the sugar load of candy cane"? That's quality songwriting right there. Between "Lollipop", Chris Martin and this, we really are living in a new golden age of lyrics, aren't we?
How'd they get Peter Gaston to star in the video?
And Mr. Boucher may be a grade-A a-hole, but this stong does kind of rock:
