    All the jittery bits made Cloverfield seem like the final shot of The Third Man. Not *necessarily* a complaint.

    I also wonder how much more or less expensive it would have been to do that as a film/DV shoot and then treat it.

    Still, gotta give ‘em this — literalizing the ‘infrastructure will collapse’ line and having this come out right after a weekend where the whole high-price oil/banking system jitters combination was dominating the news was pretty great timing.

    @Ned Raggett:Yeah, if I hadn’t read that it was made with lasers (like the band wanted me to), then I would have just assumed it was done with computer effects.

    I’m actually interested to see if this can be used for the next generation of motion capture for things like video games. Not only could we get the movements of people correct, but now we could base the models themselves on the data too.

    Pretty cool.

    I also love how radiohead has basically licensed their music for a tech demo.
