I know you were awfully excited for the debut album from the British outfit Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, but even though the record has been completed and the promos have been sent out to journalist types, Joe Lean et al have done an about-face because they don’t feel like it reflects their current sound. If you dropped nearly $30 on the import on Amazon, tough break! Your new, apparently more exciting Jing Jang Jong release won’t be ready until early 2009. (Is there any way I can type “Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong” in this entry once more? All right then.) [NME]

My question would be how the postponement of a debut album is news to NME. No, really, as a professional, I would like to know.
@DavidWatts: It’s the Jing Jang Jong, man!
Why am I such a sucker for British guitar pop? The lyrics are absolute dreck but it’s catchy as hell.
Love the fat Pete Best.
They’re actually not bad. Their guitarist is the brother of Rose from the Pipettes and their singer used to drummer for the Pipettes’ backing band. They’re an OK group, but still, that name is terrible.
@JZ13: Not at all. It’s meant to be offensive to humanity.
Is this band name meant to be offensive to Asians?
Seen this band live. Really guys, they’re not an OK group, they’re terrible. Hopefully the album has been delayed til NEVER.
This song is slightly less awful than all the other sub-Arctic Monkeys dreck in the British charts right now. However, they should still be put in a funny-name rocket with The Ting Tings and shot towards the sun.
