Well, one classic at least. The Colbert Report has allowed us to watch as Canadian proggers Rush go through the motions of playing their own hit, “Tom Sawyer,” on Rock Band. Guitarist Alex Lifeson insists (cutely) on fingering the frets instead of simply concentrating on the “strings” bar, while Geddy Lee seems most amused by the whole thing. The band fails, of course, giving countless YouTube-ready wannabes something like hope for outdoing their heroes at something semi-musical. [via Kotaku]

This is part of why I can’t get into these kinds of games — half the time it’d be easier to just play the actual song on an instrument than hit buttons on a plastic fauxtar in rhythm, etc.
Also, insert “voice of Geddy Lee” joke here. (Sorry, I’m worthless.)
I’d say that’s more quasi-musical. Or faux-musical.
They failed their own song!
They would have SLAIN “By-Tor and the Snowdog.”
that was just cute!
