And for once I thought I would read a review of this film without a Short Circuit reference. :-D

I very much agree, the use of music and sound design allied in this film is key. Ever since I saw it I've had "Put On Your Sunday Clothes" in my head at least once per day.

Sadly, this movie was lacking a fantastic robot dance number like Weird Al’s “Dare to be Stupid”, as in the animated weeper Transformers (1986).
