No! Not Be Your Own Pet!

A week or two back I just had to hear The Kelly Affair, which in turn lead me to put their latest disc back in heavy rotation. It really is quite the rollicking affair. And though I can't say I stan for this band extra hard, I am kind of bummed by this news. I guess it ain't easy being young and in a band. Here's hoping that the lead singer at least goes solo. That girl is straight FIRE!

not the greatest live band, but I loved their records.

It strikes me as odd that they came out with their big, poppy second album and the only touring they did was as support for two bands that draw people twice as old as memebers of BYOP. I never got why they never went for the younger crowd. Better the kids listen to them than whatever bullshit is on Warped this year

I actually actively hate this band, her voice, her godawful lyrics, the fact that they are signed to Thurston's label, hmmm...let's see? Oh yeah, I hate the pedestrian music, too. Yep. HATE.

I'm so glad I will be free from this one-note gimmick for the next couple of years until the inevitable grotesquerie of a solo project shows up.

Such a shame, they were a fun band.
