Kanye West, whose blog has become my go-to source for new videos over the past few days, posted the above clip for N.E.R.D.’s remix of “Everyone Nose” with the simple declaration “THIS IS WHY I FUCK WITH HYPE!!!” I’m guessing “This” in the previous sentence means “His willingness to blend characters from Space Invaders and Donkey Kong with a dancing bathroom-sign lady, which make for a much better video tableau than American Apparel model rejects. What’s the clearance cost for Bally-Midway license rights? I sure as hell didn’t see Princess Peach up in that… did I?
I have to say, you’d find the original video more hilariously entertaining if you’ve almost passed out in the bathroom of [Darkroom? Happy Ending? The Annex? Black & White? Don Hill's? Whichevs.] in a haze of vice whilst outrunning Bronques and his freakin’ camera. Maybe.
