Hope Sandoval Flies Back Onto The Radar


In case you’re wondering what former Mazzy Star vocalist Hope Sandoval has been up to, one of the answers apparently is, “Recording a new song for Air France. (The airline, that is.)” The compilation In The Air has the new Sandoval track “Wild Roses,” an MP3 of which is available at Brooklyn Vegan, as well as tracks by Apparat, Four Tet, and the Chemical Brothers. And hey, what better excuse to post an embed of Richard X’s “Into U,” which melds Mazzy Star’s biggest hit with the smooth vocals of Jarvis Cocker into one of the most breathtaking tracks of the past 10 years?     I was also confused like one of the BV commenters. This is the actual airline, not the Swedish band Air France.
