ARTIST: Guns N’ Roses
TITLE: “Shackler’s Revenge”
WEB DEBUT: Aug. 14, 2008
ONE-LISTEN VERDICT: The alternate title for the Guns N’ Roses track that’s set to premiere as part of Rock Band 2 is “Chicken Dinner,” perhaps because the blasts of guitar from Buckethead sound like the pre-slaughter squawks of one of those animals. Axl’s experiments with electronics are definitely in full effect here, which give this track a similar feel to that of his 10-year-old song “Oh My God.” It’ll probably be hella fun to try and shriek along with his voice in the game, which I suppose makes this track a success?
WHERE TO FIND IT: I suspect that any links to streams that I find will be pulled before this post can go to “published” mode, but what the hell, let’s give this a try:

Hmm, that’s better than any of the other songs I’ve heard that have leaked so far. HOWEVER, it’s still garbage when you hold it up to something like “Jungle” or “Rocket Queen”
It angers me that Axl didn’t release Chinese Democracy in time for the Olympics. It would have made quite the juxtaposition.
Does this mean we each get, like, a half cup of Dr Pepper?
Axl needs to just pull his metaphorical pants down, and let the tiny music hang out: [www.popcesspool.net]
What’s all this about revenge?
Is Axl going to invite the employee to an “exclusive performance” and then let the employee grow old and die while waiting for GnR to take stage?
I’ll bet that’s exactly what he does.
Urgh, I hate the new GnR. This isn’t what they’re supposed to sound like. What happened to all the badass-ness?
I like it, if only for Axl’s faux-black metal voice in the beginning.
