While this information isn’t really all that new, the lede to the piece sets new standards of… something: “Fans of Kurt Cobain continue to mourn the Nirvana rocker. But Cobain’s 1994 suicide did have one upside: he didn’t have to listen to loathsome Axl Rose anymore.” Uh, well, that makes it OK, then? Poor Kurt. If only he’d known Axl would spend 15 years and counting on his next album. In fact, Kurt managed to release 5 albums in that time in spite of being dead.

I love how back in the day Axl always wore hats to tell everyone who he liked (ie. he did the same with NWA, etc.) I can just imagine this conversation between Axl and himself back in 1989 “Hmm, I really like that Milli Vanilli stuff. It’s really good. I think I’ll wear a hat of them”
