I love everyone's taste in Whitney songs here.

My mom was a Whitney fan next level, so I am familiar with *every* song in her oeuvre, and I have to say that the ones named here are the best. Oh, and I also admit to a secret soft spot for "Shoop" from Waiting to Exhale, although maybe it's because I shamefully admit to loving everything about that movie.

I know this song is 20 Y.O., and there's nothing *wrong* with this mix, but if this is part of Whitney's "comeback" attempt, I see this upcoming album as the "new" Hard Candy.

I want WH to succeed with her new album, but I don't have high hopes.

@maura: You didn’t ask this, but you did this, and that’s fantastic.

You should think about bringing back “liner notes” for these kinds of “can’t really make a proper post” items. Or maybe do a similar post (”cutout bin”?) with all of the lamest stories out there with a snarky intro like this. Or something like Gawker’s old “glaring omissions” column — surely you get lots of crazy emails and press-release “tips” too?
