Last night in Toronto, an unidentified man rushed onstage during Oasis’ set at the Virgin Festival and body-checked Noel Gallagher, perhaps because he wanted to show the brawl-happy band what happens when you traipse around a country where hockey is the national sport. (Fast-forward to the 1:30 mark to see the pummeling.) After a brief break in the action, the brothers Gallagher and their crew returned to the stage, where they played “Don’t Look Back In Anger.” Well, it’s nice to see that even the prospect of on-stage assaults can’t break their sense of humor. didn’t a riot breakout at a jay reatard show in toronto a few months ago? no good, toronto, no good.

What a mess. Has no one learned from the Dimebag thing? It looks like the dude came from behind the stage too. And near the end, crew and security and dumbfoundedly pointing to the kit, seeming to be stating the obvious.
Beyond that, Liam taking the Jack Dempsey fighting stance is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Especially since the younger Gallagher isn’t exactly known for his brawling prowess: [findarticles.com]
Look at how Liam raises his fists only after having made sure there are at least 4/5 people in between him and the assaulter… he’s sooo brave ;)
Aww poor Noel. The guy that attacked him is a giant douche bag.
I like Noely-Noely as a “personality” (not so much for the music…) No one deserves to be attacked during a performance. I hope this guy gets in loads of trouble! Kudos to Oasis for coming back out and finishing the set.
I’m impressed that the band returned to finish the show. Some of their past antics would suggest they’d get right angry and call things off. That attacker sure is a twit.
The Brits can get us Canucks back by taking the boots to Celine Dion next time she’s across the pond. Please and thank you.
some one should write a book on the Munich hotel bar punch up. its one of the most vicious r&r band fight stories & oasis got their asses kicked brutally
What’s with adding three minutes of roadies messing about the stage to the end of that video?
@walkmasterflex: i wouldn’t call it a riot, but that event was more related to poor organization and reatard refusing to play because of it. the crowd was wound up, and his walking off-stage only made things worse. i think that’s completely unrelated to an individual attacking a musician on stage without provocation.
