Linda Stein, the former Ramones manager who later worked as a real estate agent to the boldfaced names in New York City, was found bludgeoned to death in her apartment yesterday. Stein, who was married to Sire Records founder Seymour Stein for eight years, was 62. New York City police are investigating the death as a homicide. [NYT]

A black jacket that belonged to Marky Ramone of The Ramones has been pulled from an auction because Ramone questions whether it was ever his. The jacket is signed "Marky Ramone" on the back in gold ink, and bidding through RRAuction had reached $3,100.
