The indie-label lobbying group Impala suffered a blow earlier today when a high court in the EU said that a ruling criticizing the merger of Sony and Bertelsmann’s music divisions, which resulted in Sony/BMG, set too high of a bar for regulators who were trying to see how the deal would affect the recorded-music market as a whole.
