Right Now, Sammy Hagar Is Exploiting His Past

Sure, right now, God might be killing dogs because he has to, but the world keeps on turning, and Sammy Hagar has a new album to promote. When you’re dealing with weighty issues like the fashion of the universe (cosmically), not to mention the release of Cosmic Universal Fashion, there’s only one way to broadcast that to the masses: A sequel to the “Right Now” video.

According to Sammy, “We are light years ahead of where we thought we’d be in 1992, yet there will always be issues that continue to need our attention. With the upcoming election, global and national issues are at the forefront of everyone’s minds. ‘Cosmic Universal Fashion’ is not about supporting left or right, blue or red, but rather an attempt to appeal to people on a personal level to get involved.”

Highlights from the appeal to get involved:

“RIGHT NOW: Youth equals innocence”–then the text changes to “RIGHT NOW: Youth equals violence”

“RTE NOW U JST GOT A TXT ;)”

“RIGHT NOW: Someone is pretending to be someone else in a chat room”

“RIGHT NOW: Is Not The Fault Of Eve”

Also, there’s something about oil companies and pictures of sperm. All I ask is that we don’t have to wait another 16 years for the third installment.

This might be the worst music I’ve ever heard. I know I’ve said that a few times before, but jeez louise!

You know, some of his late-’90s solo stuff wasn’t bad, but this is just Sammy ranting over a generic background. There’s no melodic hook anywhere.
