This just in: The video for Britney Spears’ “Womanizer” will premiere during tonight’s airing of the MTV fakeumentary The Hills. Whether or not this means that the clip will be full of long shots featuring heavily eyelinered, semi-brain-dead women vapidly chewing, sipping, and staring at each other is uncertain at this time, but we can all hope.

Are Madonna And Britney Spears Collaborating On MDNA?
Could it be that Madonna has enlisted her pal Britney Spears for MDNA? Well, according to a leaked album jacket, it seems that Spears is making an appearance on the album's lead track, "Girls Gone Wild." This would mark the second collaboration on the album.

    Pet theory I developed this weekend, when I heard “Womanizer” on Z100: Did Britney and Xtina, simultaneously and totally coincidentally, both decide this was the year to rip off Goldfrapp?

    I mean, were they thinking about doing this back in ‘05, and then said to themselves, Let’s see if she breaks in America, and if not, she’s got two years till I tell my producers to bite her sound…?

    @Chris Molanphy: Can you imagine how
    awful it would have been if they’d tried to go Kate Bush folk though?

    “Womanizer” is a lot less “Ooh La La” than “Keeps Gettin’ Better”, though, which sounds like a low-rent Rachel Stevens ripoff.

    @Chris Molanphy: Umm, yeah. Britney’s ripping off herself (”Ooh Ooh Baby”) rather than “Ooh La La,” which Christina apparently purchased a karaoke version of before slapping her “Keeps Getting Better” vocals on.

    That said, “Ooh Ooh Baby” is basically Gary Glitter’s “Rock ‘n Roll part 2″ with synth on top.
