Attention countdown fans: beginning tomorrow at 6 a.m. Pacific time, Seattle’s public alt-rock-plus station KEXP is bolstering its fall membership drive by counting down its listeners’ Top 903 albums. Even if this means the kind of constant interruptions that still drive us crazy on PBS, the suspense alone will prevent us from being driven as nuts as when we’re interrupted from watching The Johnny Cash Show and Dylan at Newport. I swear, if something as lame as the Arcade Fire is in the top 10…
As a KEXP morning show listener, I’ll say this: Expect a Pixies album to sneak in the top 10. And also expect a (sigh) Cloud Cult album to make at least the top 100.
Do you also have the Roy Orbison special that Boston PBS has shown six times during every pledge drive since 1989?
@Marth: I fail to see the bad side. Although, I will laugh if Michele Myers has to announce a Cloud Cult album - she hates them so much.
