Eminem’s New Album May Save/Ruin Christmas

October 27th, 2008 // 6 Comments

Amazon’s page for Eminem’s Relapse has the album–his first since 2004′s Encore–slated for release on Dec. 23. Whether or not this is true is up for debate (Amazon’s release-date voodoo is a little, shall we say, suspect), but how could I resist Photoshopping dear old Marshall into a Santa hat? The red looks so good with his complexion! [Amazon via StreetCred.com / Eminem pic via AP]

Toby Keith’s art department might have a place for you yet!

    I’ll go with “B”.

If you find yourself leaning towards “B”, you really should consider checking yourself in to the nearest asylum for immediate psychological treatment. The fact that someone could even have the capacity to allow an album to ruin their christmas says alot more about you than it does the album. Normally I’d say “get a life”, but it seems as though you already have one and intend on wasting it.

“Mommy, you don’t have to go the store to get me Eminem’s CD for Christmas – it’s too cold outside — I’ll just download it for free from this bit torrent site”…

@SmartKitty: Your grasp of humor is either tenuous or transcendent.

It’s actually a perfect date: he’d get the rabid fans in the two days before Christmas, and the overwhelming majority of the kid-exchanging-unwanted-CD-grandma-gave-him dollar on Boxing Day and thereafter.

This, of course, assumes that Em is still relevant to the parent-freaking teenager a half-decade after he peaked. It’s possible that a post-High School Musical teen doesn’t give a shit about a guy who raps about his ex-wife for the 40 millionth time.
