As a music blogger, I am contractually obligated to post this new video featuring M.I.A. However, I should mention the real star of “Way Down In The Hole,” which is promoted by the above clip, is Baltimore’s Blaqstarr, whose stream of releases–including I’m Bangin’ No. 2, which he released in August–have been unfairly ignored. I’m hoping that M.I.A.’s fame-dust will make its way onto Blaqstarr, since tracks like “Shake It To The Ground” deserved a lot more hype than they got initially. [YouTube]

I’ve seen Blaqstarr DJ a couple times, and it’s always a very baltimore-y delight. King Of Roq is recommended.
