Rags-to-sorta-riches Journey singer Arnel Pineda had a private audience with Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, president of the Philippines, today. Pineda sang the Journey hit “Open Arms” a cappella to the President, who was apparently moved by the performance. (Sadly, the press was not invited.) But Pineda mentioned the earliest the entire band would make it to his home country would be April 2009.
