Tonight will see the premiere of Soul Cities, a welcome variation on Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations starring legendary critic, TV producer, and filmmaker Nelson George. The premiere takes place in Philadelphia and features the host talking to Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, Patti LaBelle, and ?uestlove, and taking in the sights, sounds, and eats of that great city. Future episodes will cover New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago, L.A., and the Bay Area, and the show is already set for a second season sometime in 2009. Soul Cities premieres at 9 p.m. EST on VH1 Soul.
