On the heels of my Cure-fan-upsetting post on the artistic viability of the double album, Lupe Fiasco has threatened to take absurdity to a new level with a triple album titled LupEND. I’m not entirely sure of the math, but it would appear a triple album would be approximately 66% more unnecessary than a double-disc set. I actually like Lupe quite a bit (despite finding The Cool a bit confounding), but if he isn’t intending to close his career by releasing a three-disc set, he might find his career closed for him. @Maura Johnston: Ha, thanks! Dude retired, got a vote or two for the Hall of Fame, came back and got no Hall of Fame votes the second time around. So strange. Is it baseball season yet?

  • Psicosis

Wait, his second album wasn't a two discs, it just felt like it was. Silly me.

  • Psicosis

So his single disc first album was good from start to finish, his dual disc second album had a number of filler trackers, therefore his triple disc third album...
