I’m also mad that I can’t think of any “here today, gone tomorrow” R&B artists and/or rappers from TRL’s Golden Age without consulting some outside resources. I know there had to be a few.

And it would make me a very happy man if they did a “Carbon Copy” segment where they showcase artists obviously built for the TRL machine that just couldn’t quite reach Brit/Christina/Nsync/Limp Bizkit heights. I’m talking Willa Ford, LFO, Stacie Orrico [I'm Stuck On You chick], etc. Please feel free to help a brotha out and continue the list.

Three things:

(1) When I caught the commercial for this last night, I watched it in complete silence, as if it was earth shattering/mind blowing news [I was a high school student at the height of TRL's popularity who just so happens to own a cd or two (or three) by many a popular artist from their heyday.]

(2) I also wondered if an Nsync reunion would be out the question [See (1)]. Especially after seeing the Backstreet Boys were popping up, and

(3) Upon hearing that Mariah Carey would show up, I immediately wondered if she would be passing out Ice Cream this time around too.
