Guns N’ Roses’ Truest Critics–The Tribute Bands–Have An Opinion On “Chinese Democracy”

While the entire world waits on the release of Chinese Democracy (or the at very least, a definitive leak), Guns N’ Roses tribute acts are faced with a dilemma. Learn the new songs or stick to the classic material? According to the NME, the UK’s premier Guns N’ Roses tribute act, cleverly named UK Guns N’ Roses, is still on the fence.

We’re undecided as to whether or not we play any of the new Guns material next year as we feel it probably won’t be anywhere near the work by the original, and best line-up (in our humble opinion),” they explained in a mailout. “So we’re thinking of naming the New Year tour the ‘Stick To Your Guns Tour 09’.

Unfortunately, that particular tour probably won’t make it out to America since the band seems remarkably proficient, as seen in this somewhat distance footage of “Mr. Brownstone”:

According to the band’s November newsletter, instead of working on Chinese Democracy tracks, the band is taking it back to the golden days and working on versions of “Coma” and “Bad Apples”. UK Guns N’ Roses takes its tribute game quite sincerely, although they might consider leaving “Current Cars” off their bio to increase their rock and roll cred, considering the tally of actual cars to buses or bikes is currently 3:3.
